Cherokee Street marches together in first annual house parade

Students at Cherokee Street Elementary showcased their house spirit during the school’s first annual house parade, a festive culmination of a year spent building community and character.
Throughout the year, students were assigned to one of six houses: unity, dreamers, kindness, friendship, uplifters or courage, and earned points through team activities and by exemplifying their house’s core values in their daily actions. The parade gave each house the opportunity to celebrate its unique identity as members marched to the front of the school and performed dances, cheers, songs and skits for an audience of family and friends.
Featuring matching house T-shirts, colorful face masks, creative rolling floats and mascots, the event highlighted the strong sense of pride, teamwork and belonging that makes Cherokee Street such a special place.
