Connetquot Central School District
Academic Excellence, Creativity, Mutual Respect And Self-Reliance
Dear Connetquot Community,
I am honored to serve as the Acting Superintendent of Schools for the Connetquot Central School District, following last night’s resignation of Dr. Joseph Centamore.
Returning to the district means a great deal to me and is both a privilege and a responsibility I do not take lightly. Having previously served as a Director of Social Studies (2015-2017) and an Interim Principal at Sycamore Elementary School (2023), I have had the opportunity to work alongside dedicated educators, supportive families, committed staff and this engaged community. Those experiences gave me a deep appreciation for the values, traditions and unwavering commitment to student success that define Connetquot.
In addition to my previous work in this district, I have served as the Executive Director of Instructional Technology for the Carle Place School District, the Director of Social Studies and an elementary principal for the Smithtown School District and the chairperson and teacher in the social studies department for the Port Washington School District. With a passion rooted in teaching, I have also served as a lecturer at Stony Brook University for the past six years. Before entering the field of education, I proudly served as an NYPD officer, and while teaching was called up and completed a tour of duty with the Army National Guard in Iraq.
As Acting Superintendent, my priority is to ensure a smooth transition while maintaining the stability and momentum of our schools. Our focus will remain on providing exceptional educational opportunities, supporting the well-being and growth of every student and working collaboratively with our faculty, staff, families and community partners.
I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to serving our students and community. Please know that my door is always open, so please do not hesitate to reach out should you need assistance at any time.
Sincerely,
Bryan Frank, Ed.D.
Acting Superintendent of Schools
