Duffield students awarded for inspiring “Stay Drug-Free” messages

The winners of Helen B. Duffield Elementary School’s “You Have the Power to Stay Drug-Free” contest were recently announced. The contest took place as part of the school’s Red Ribbon Week activities, with one winner selected from each grade. The winners were chosen based on their use of descriptive language and creativity.
Congratulations to Anika Jain (kindergarten), Kennedy Green (first grade), Pongti Khondaker (second grade), Allison Dabiegno (third grade), Mathew Torres (fourth grade) and Charlotte Kienzler (fifth grade)!
Each winner received a goodie bag and a mini trophy. The goodie bags included a coupon for a free sundae at Applebee’s, a water bottle, a “drug-free” pen and pencil, a keychain, stress ball, lanyard and stickers.
