AHERA Disclosure
In compliance with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Asbestos Hazard
Emergency Response Act (AHERA), the Connetquot Central School District has been inspected for
asbestos-containing building materials. The EPA and the New York State Education Department
require us to conduct reinspections of the building every three years. An EPA/NYS accredited
Inspector/Management Planner performed the inspections in November and December 2025, and
recommended actions to safely manage the asbestos materials in our buildings.
The results of the reinspection are on file in the asbestos management plan in the District Office.
Everyone is welcome to view the AHERA Management Plan during normal school hours. The District’s
Asbestos Program Manager is available to answer any questions you may have concerning asbestos in our
buildings.
