Connetquot kicks off the year with inspiring Superintendent’s Conference Day

Connetquot opened the new school year with a powerful Superintendent’s Conference Day on Aug. 28, bringing staff together for a day of reflection, inspiration and preparation.

The morning began with a districtwide staff breakfast, reinforcing the importance of community and connection. Superintendent Dr. Joseph T. Centamore welcomed everyone back and expressed his gratitude for the staff’s dedication and continued hard work. He also outlined key goals and priorities for the upcoming school year, setting the tone for a united effort across all schools.

The day’s keynote speaker, Gian Paul Gonzalez, delivered a motivating message, encouraging Connetquot’s staff to be “all in”, giving their full commitment and heart to everything they do. His powerful words resonated throughout the auditorium, leaving staff inspired and ready to take on the year ahead.

Following the keynote, staff members took part in professional development sessions, faculty meetings and classroom setup to ensure students have a successful start to the school year.

With renewed energy and purpose, the Connetquot school community is ready to make 2025-26 a fantastic year!
