A full-circle visit inspires Sycamore Avenue first graders

First graders in Mrs. Vavalle and Mrs. Hausle’s class at Sycamore Avenue Elementary welcomed back a familiar face – former student Amanda Barile, now a Connetquot High School senior and published author. Returning to where her own journey began, Amanda spoke with students about the publishing process, sharing how she wrote, illustrated and brought her book, “I Choose Courage,” to life.
