Work-Based Learning students go from classroom to courtroom

Students in the Work-Based Learning program visited the federal courthouse in Central Islip, where they met with Judge Bianco, whose enthusiasm and inspiring approach left a lasting impression.
Students then visited his courtroom and participated in a mini mock trial, learning the roles of each party involved in the legal process. The experience continued in the jury deliberation room, where they explored how cases are discussed and decided. This highly interactive and immersive visit provided students with a meaningful, firsthand look at the role of an attorney and other roles within the legal field.
