Elementary teachers strengthen differentiated instruction through professional learning

Elementary classroom teachers from across the district recently participated in Savvas mathematics professional development focused on differentiated instruction. During this session, teachers explored strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students and deepen instructional practice. As part of the professional learning experience, teachers created and presented visual representations of Dr. Carol Ann Tomlinson’s key characteristics of differentiated instruction, drawing from “How to Differentiate Instruction in Mixed-Ability Classrooms”.
