Erica Dosch, a high school science teacher in the Connetquot Central School District, was awarded the 2023 Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics Educational Leadership Association STEM Star Award for being a “beacon of light” in STEM-related teaching fields. “Mrs. Dosch is a phenomenal teacher with a varied background that helps make science engaging for all students who cross her path,” Connetquot Director of Science, FACS and Technology Stephanie Burns said. “She is a role model for all her students and for the faculty and staff who work with her and has a voracious appetite for sharing experiential learning opportunities for her students. It is an absolute honor to work with such a shining light.” Mrs. Dosch is a ninth grade Advanced Placement biology teacher and teaches several sections of College Medical Anatomy at Connetquot High School.
