Meet Connetquot Central School District’s newest administrators
The Connetquot Central School District is pleased to announce the appointment of four new administrators for the 2023-24 school year.
Mr. Michael Renda has joined the district as the assistant principal of Cherokee Street Elementary School. Mr. Renda previously served as principal of Neighborhood Charter School in Harlem. Prior to his time there, Mr. Renda held positions as a kindergarten and first grade science teacher and middle school social studies teacher, teaching at both Berner Middle School in Massapequa, and Commack Middle School.
Beginning this school year, Mr. Justin Bradley has taken on the role of assistant principal of Ronkonkoma Middle School. Mr. Bradley has a combined 20 years of teaching experience, having worked as a secondary English teacher at Ronkonkoma Middle School, as a coach for the Connetquot Central School District and as a secondary English teacher at Tri-Community JHS 231 in Queens.
Ms. Danielle Mattina has joined the district as the new director of English Language Arts. Beginning in 2021, she served as the district’s administrator for instruction, assessment and data. She has also served as the interim assistant principal at Guggenheim and Sousa elementary schools, Port Washington School District’s district administrator for literacy, as a gifted and talented teacher and district coordinator in the New Hyde Park-Garden City Park UFSD, a teacher leader/instructional coach for the New York City Department of Education, a program director for the SCOPE after school enrichment program and as an adjunct graduate professor at Brooklyn College.
Mr. Brandon Weisberg begins his role as director of facilities in the 2023-24 school year. Mr. Weisberg comes to the district with experience as a project superintendent and construction project manager.
The district congratulates its newest administrators and directors and is excited to see the immense value and knowledge they will bring into their new roles!
