Incoming kindergarten students at Edward J. Bosti Elementary School in the Connetquot Central School District met their new classmates and explored their school during the kindergarten playdate program on Aug. 28.

During the playdate, the incoming students had fun socializing and playing on the playground, making new friends before the start of the school year and interacting with Principal Laura Kimball. The playdate ended with a practice bus ride around the block to get students used to their new routine.

John Pearl, Sycamore Avenue, Edith L. Slocum, Idle Hour, Helen B. Duffield and Cherokee Street elementary schools also sponsored playdate programs prior to the first day of school on Sept. 6.
