Director of Health, Physical Education, Athletics and Recreation Peter Melore introduced the district’s top fall season athletes to the Board of Education. Mr. Melore told the trustees and the community that Fall 2022 was a historic season and “The It Year”, with every team making the playoffs, 213 scholar-athletes and nine out of ten teams designated as scholar-athlete teams. He also noted that over the last few years, the athletic program had a “shared vision,” which included competition, good citizenship, community service and a view of athletics being a program.
