Congratulations to Connetquot High School senior Alexander DeVita who was named a semifinalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program!

Alexander earned this outstanding recognition based on his PSAT score earned in his junior year. Of the 1.3 million students that took the PSAT last fall, just 16,000 were identified as semifinalists. This elite group of students represents less than one percent of United States high school seniors.

Alexander will be advancing through the program in hopes of becoming a finalist, and ultimately, a National Merit Scholarship winner. Finalists will be announced in February.
