Connetquot High School’s annual Safe Halloween event and food drive coordinated by the school’s Student Government took place on Oct. 28. Dressed in costume, children and their parents attended the two-hour event which created a safe space for them to trick-or-treat through the hallways of the high school.

High school student volunteers transformed the halls into a maze of Halloween fun with themed tables and activities manned by all sorts of characters, including Scooby-Doo, Winnie the Pooh and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles among the many for a memorable afternoon.

Canned food and donations were collected as part of the admission, which will be distributed to local food pantries.
