The Connetquot High School Thunderbirds flocked to the bird cage for a spirited homecoming game on Oct. 20.

To kick off the festivities, students dressed up for a week of fun-filled spirt days from Oct. 16-20, ending the week with a pep rally. The marching band, kickline team and cheerleading team gave electric performances before Asher Tagibue and Manal Nawaz were announced as Connetquot’s homecoming king and queen, respectively. The fall sports teams were announced and brought onto the field before students participated in several team building and relay games.

Ahead of the Friday night homecoming game, all senior members of the football and cheerleading teams were announced and escorted by their families onto the field. Thunderous applause echoed throughout the stands as the Connetquot High School community congratulated these student-athletes on four great years.

Finally, students, their families, faculty and community members put on their game faces, ready to cheer on the Connetquot Thunderbirds as they faced off against Riverhead High School. The Thunderbirds gave it their all, taking the win with a final score of 49-0.
