Meet the Principal

CHARLES D. MOREA
Charles Morea began his career in education teaching Business Education at Connetquot High School in 1987. He taught until 1999 when he accepted a high school assistant principal position in the Longwood Central School District. During his time at Longwood High School, Mr. Morea was a grade level administrator, and was responsible for grade reporting and creating the master schedule. On August 9, 2004, the Connetquot Central School District of Islip Board of Education appointed him principal of Ronkonkoma Middle School.

Meet the Assistant Principal

JOSEPH C. LICATO
Joseph Licato’s career began as a secondary English teacher in 1997. In the fall of 2000, Mr. Licato continued his career at Ronkonkoma Middle School as an eighth grade English teacher. After four years of teaching at the middle school, Mr. Licato accepted the position of English Department Chairman. He held the position successfully for three years. Next, Mr. Licato secured the title of secondary assistant principal at Connetquot High School. For three years he enjoyed working with the twelfth grade students who held Mr. Licato in high regard. Finally, Mr. Licato has “come home” to Ronkonkoma Middle School and is serving as assistant principal. His philosophy is that all students are able to succeed when afforded the opportunity of growth and learning in a safe, nurturing and respectful environment.

FROM THE LONG ISLAND EXPRESSWAY:                             
LIE to Exit 59 (Ocean Ave)
Head SOUTH:
Make a RIGHT(from West)
Make a LEFT (from East)
at first traffic light (Ocean Ave)
Pass 2/3 traffic lights,
Go over Railroad tracks,
Make a right (Easton St, right next to RR tracks),
Go 4 blocks to first stop sign, make a LEFT on Louis Kossuth Ave,
Go 2 blocks, at second stop sign, make a RIGHT on Peconic Street. School is on the right side.


FROM THE WEST VIA SOUTHERN STATE PARKWAY:       
Southern State Parkway to Exit 44E
Follow Sunrise Highway Service Road East which merges into Sunrise Highway (Route 27)
to Exit 47A (Locust Ave)
Turn Left at first traffic light - Oakdale-Bohemia Road
Travel over Sunrise Hwy to end
Turn Left on Sycamore Ave to
Left on Veterans Mem. Hwy to
Right on Louis Kossuth, go 1 mile,
