June 24, 2020 - Update
I would like to thank you for your patience and understanding regarding the challenges completing our spring Drivers Education Program. I would like to share with you the letter drafted by Ms. Villareale, the Assistant Superintendent for Business and Operations. Please read the attached letter and decide which option is the preferred for you and your child. Students who wish to complete the program whenever Governor Cuomo has permitted us to do so do not need to do anything, we will work on rescheduling as soon as this becomes possible. If you would prefer the prorated refund, please send this request to me (firstname.lastname@example.org) and Ms. Marino (email@example.com) so the refund can be processed.
My sincerest appreciation for your understanding during this ‘pause’.
Thank you and stay safe!

Dear Parents and Students,
I hope this communication finds you well as we navigate through these unsettling and unprecedented times.
As you are all aware Governor Cuomo has ordered schools remain closed until May 15. This date may be extended as we move forward. NYS has ordered a pause as well for all Driver Education programs. At this time we do not know when we will be able to return to ‘traditional’ instruction, but are hoping when it does we will be able to start back at the point where we left off. Online learning has ceased and will resume as soon as we are able to verify when instruction is approved by the State. We are hoping if unable to complete our program by June, we would be able to do so during the summer.
At this time we are unable to consider a summer program for new students and will have to wait for further instruction from the State. As details become available they will be shared so we may make an informed decision regarding completion of the program and how it affects our students.
Please feel free to contact me via email if you have any further questions regarding the program at firstname.lastname@example.org. I appreciate your patience and understanding during this process.
