Connetquot High School culinary students stir up some sweet competition
Connetquot High School’s Family and Consumer Science Department recently hosted its biannual bake-off, where students in the baking and culinary classes showcased their creativity and skill. As the final project for the class, students planned, baked, decorated and presented their cake creations to faculty and staff for judging.
This hands-on event provides students with the opportunity to apply their culinary knowledge in a fun and competitive setting while gaining valuable experience in baking and cake decoration. The finished cakes were evaluated on presentation, creativity, overall appearance and taste.
