Welcome to the Library! Each class visits the library at least once a week. Of course, students choose a book to borrow every week, but that is only one small part of what happens in library! Students are learning the skills necessary to be productive citizens in the 21st century. They are learning information literacy skills including how to locate, evaluate, and use various resources to fulfill their information needs. They are learning about citizenship in the digital age. They are also developing an appreciation of a variety of genres of fiction. They are learning about the engineering design model in our makerspace. All of this is achieved through projects which support the Common Core Standards and by using the curriculum of each grade level in collaboration with the classroom teachers.
