worldJohn Pearl Elementary School

School Social Worker

Social Workers provide various services to students and their families in the Connetquot community. We provide crisis intervention, short term individual and group counseling, parent consultation, information and referral to community based service agencies as well as a variety of prevention programs tailored to meet the special needs of each building. Social Workers provide state mandated health lessons for all students in grades K-5 through classroom presentations.

Elementary school counselors set the tone for developing the skill, knowledge and
attitudes necessary for children to become healthy, productive adults. Counselors work as a team with school, parents and community to create a caring atmosphere whereby children’s needs are met through prevention, early identification and intervention.

John Pearl's Social Worker is Ms. Heather Fuller, a licensed master social worker. She
may be reached during school hours 8:35-3:35 p.m., Monday through Friday. If you
have any questions or concerns regarding any of the programs your child will participate in, you may contact her at (631) 244-2300 Ext. 4516.
