Subject:        Permission Slips for Freshman Awareness Program (November 22, 2024)

Sent on behalf of Ms. Goodwin and Ms. Senft

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s) of Freshmen,

Your student was sent home with a permission slip to attend the CHS Freshman Awareness Program scheduled for Friday, November 22, 2024. These permission slips are due back no later than Friday, November 15th. Permission slips are to be returned to Ms. Senft in room 207.

Although we will have a nurse at the event, we will not have access to any of the medication your student may need to take during the course of the event. If your student has any medical needs which will need to be addressed by our nurse, please contact Ms. Senft at: GSenft@ccsdli.org regarding the appropriate procedure.

This is a gentle reminder that this is a hard deadline as supplies need to be ordered for the event. A copy of the permission slip and the evening's agenda have been attached to this email for your convenience. If you have any questions about the event, please contact our teacher organizers: Ms. Goodwin or Ms. Senft.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Sincerely,

Michelle T. Goodwin

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Connetquot High School will host our Freshman Awareness Program on Friday, November 22, 2024.  This event is scheduled from 1:25 PM and will conclude Friday evening at 10:30 PM.

The Freshman Awareness Program will provide an opportunity for students and faculty to build relationships, enhance listening and communication skills, and develop a better sense of themselves and their peers.

The faculty, staff and administration are excited about this event. We have a network of both knowledgeable and inspirational speakers.  In addition, our freshmen will have the opportunity to work alongside high school upperclassmen who have been trained in preparation for this event.

If your child is interested in attending, please fill out the attached Permission Slip and have your child return it to Ms. Senft in room 207 by Friday, November 15th.  Please note this is a hard deadline as food and supplies must be ordered for the event.  For your information, a schedule of events and an overview of the program are included.  Students cannot arrive late nor leave early.  Please keep this in mind while making plans.

We are confident this event will be important and memorable for all those involved.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our teacher Civic Advisers, Ms. Michelle Goodwin at mgoodwin@ccsdli.org or Ms. Gina Senft at gsenft@ccsdli.org or call (631) 244-2228.

Sincerely,

Michael A. Moran
