On Jan. 23, members of the Connetquot Board of Education attended the Nassau-Suffolk School Boards Association Joint Conference, an event centered around advocacy and resources for mental health and wellness.

The keynote address was delivered by Gian Paul Gonzalez, a high school teacher from Union City, NJ, and a renowned motivational speaker. Gonzalez is perhaps best known for inspiring the New York Giants during their 2011 Super Bowl Championship run. A former NCAA First Team All-American, he also played in the NBA Summer League in 2007. During his speech, Gonzalez emphasized the powerful message of being “all in” in life.
