Connetquot’s Art and Music Hall of F.A.M.E

On May 11, the inaugural class was inducted into the Connetquot Art and Music Hall of F.A.M.E. The idea of coming up with a hall of fame stems back to our former Director of Fine Arts and Music Education, Jon-Michael Lasher. His vision was to create a place where we could recognize the accomplishments of our art and music graduates, while also serving as a source of inspiration for our current students to pursue a career in the arts. The committee reconvened this past summer and brought Mr. Lasher’s idea of a hall to fruition.

Connetquot’s current Director of Fine Arts and Music Education, Mr. Vincent Malafronte, stated that, “our vision was to recognize and celebrate alumni and community members who have achieved extraordinary success in the arts or have provided exemplary service to the schools, community or the families of Connetquot.”

There were ten members inducted into this year’s class by current committee members:

The Connetquot Art and Music Hall of F.A.M.E. is proudly displayed at Connetquot High School, outside of the Eric Martinsen Performing Arts Center.
