GOALS

To teach students the fundamental skills of team or lifelong sports in a safe, active and educational classroom.  This will provide our students the confidence to participate in a few of these sports throughout their lives.

To teach students that exercising and eating healthy are vital to a healthy future.  Exercising on our track, riding our stationary bikes and constant activity are customary to our Physical Education lessons.

PHYSICAL EDUCATION SCHEDULE

Your child needs to have athletic style sneakers that do  not have openings in the front or back to participate in class for safety reasons. Please have your child wear or bring sneakers to school on the following days.

BASIC PHYSICAL EDUCATION RULES

  1. Your child needs to have athletic sneakers that can be tied, velcroed, strapped or zipped, to participate in class for safety reasons. Please have your child wear or bring sneakers on the days they have Physical Education.
  2. Students are allowed to get a drink or go to the bathroom once each during class during activity time. They are not allowed to go during warm-ups or instructions unless it’s an emergency.
  3. If your child is unable to participate in class for a health-related reason, please send a note to that effect. A physician's note is required if a student cannot participate for longer then two days.
  4. If your child is going to be excused from class because of a medical reason please submit a doctor's note to the nurse and she will make the PE Staff a copy. Please ask the Physician to include the date that your child can resume activity in PE class.
